The Lucy Jacket Project (update 4/23/24)

This winter I took it upon myself to design a jacket for my granddaughter, age 6. My prototype is a size 6 but I’ve hired a designer in California to digitize my pattern and grade it for larger sizes.

The jacket is fully lined, with drop sleeves and a shawl collar. The patch pockets are lined and big enough to hold a pet hamster! 

Here’s how it looks in finished form, while I’m still tweaking the pattern instructions:

The red striped outer fabric was a 100% cotton chambray tablecloth, with a Martha Stewart label.
