My latest bread recipe discovery is Sour Rye Bread. It’s from my classic cookbook, Sunset’s Convection Oven Cookbook. This cookbook has outstanding sections on breads and desserts.

The recipe has some unusual ingredients, including buttermilk, orange peel, beer and rye flour. It’s supposed to be flavored with fennel seeds but I use caraway.
